The Picture of Dorian Gray

This story centers on a portrait of Dorian Gray created by artist Basil Hallward, which captures Dorian’s striking beauty and sparks his acquaintance with Lord Henry Wotton. Influenced by Lord Henry’s hedonistic philosophies, Dorian makes a wish to remain youthful while his portrait bears the marks of his aging and moral decline. As Dorian leads a life of indulgence, his portrait silently reflects the consequences, remaining unchanged outwardly.
