The Champagne War

Set against the backdrop of World War I, this story follows vigneron Jerome Méa, who heads off to war confident he’ll return home, as his wife Sophie strives to preserve their vineyard and honor their love amidst wartime hardships. As the conflict intensifies and both their lives are dramatically affected, Sophie manages to keep her vineyard alive during bombings, while a chance connection in dark champagne cellars reveals unexpected emotions and challenges. The narrative weaves themes of resilience, love, and courage amid a turbulent historical landscape.
