The American Game

During the tumult of the American Civil War, soldiers from opposing sides unexpectedly find common ground through a series of ball games on a Tennessee battlefield. What begins as small bets gradually escalates, forcing the players to navigate their own rules and ideas of the game—an act of compromise amid the ongoing conflict.
