Set during the Italian Renaissance, this sequel to Damiano follows Damiano Dalstrego, a former wizard's son who has turned away from his dark magical heritage to seek peace. As he journeys through a plague-ridden French countryside, Damiano is guided by the archangel Raphael, friends, and memories of a pagan witch, all while facing the resurgence of ancient evil.
