This gothic feminist body horror novel unfolds across two timelines, centering on three eerie, lifelike wax figures known as the Anatomical Venuses, which are rumored to come to life at night to punish wrongdoers. In present-day Seoul, antiques dealer Alys seeks to complete her collection and break the cursed link to these figures, while in 18th-century London, two women—Elizabeth, a courtesan, and Eleanor, a young woman drawn into her world—become entangled in a web of desire and darkness. As their stories interconnect, the novel explores themes of power, revenge, and the supernatural, culminating in a tense confrontation over the fate of the Venuses and their centuries-old influence.
