McKenna provides a detailed, firsthand account of the 1972 Easter Offensive and the pivotal Battle of Kontum, where American advisers and South Vietnamese forces successfully defended against overwhelming enemy attacks. Drawing from his personal experience as a US infantry lieutenant colonel and extensive research, McKenna sheds light on a lesser-known but crucial moment in the Vietnam War.
