Iron Butterfly

Set in the summer of 1982, this story follows Edward Bennett, an all-American young man preparing for a junior year abroad in London, who is puzzled by his mother Marie’s overprotectiveness and her refusal to revisit her hometown in Southern Italy. As he uncovers her past, Marie’s hidden memories of a difficult beginning come to light, prompting a confrontation with her history.
