Mèo and Bé

Set against the backdrop of the approaching Vietnam War, this story follows eleven-year-old Be and her three-footed kitten Meo as they navigate danger, captivity, and loss in their quest for safety and belonging. After being accused of wrongdoing and separated from her family, Be finds herself incarcerated with other women, forging unlikely bonds and finding solace in her feline friend. When a violent uprising provides an escape, they must seek refuge and a new sense of home amid a world in turmoil.
