Cody's Cure

After losing his hearing during the Civil War, Cody moves to Great Bend to care for his sick aunt, only to face cruel treatment from the townspeople and sheriff, who mistreat him due to his disability. Iris arrives in town as the sheriff’s mail-order bride and is appalled by his harsh behavior and intolerance, leading to a complex friendship and budding romance with Cody. As their feelings grow, they discover there’s more to the sheriff’s cruelty than meets the eye, and they must confront obstacles that threaten to keep them apart forever.
