George Washington, Volume 2

Volume Two follows George Washington in the late 1750s as he transitions from military service to civilian life, after his leadership during key expeditions to Fort DuQuesne. At age 23, he is appointed commander-in-chief of Virginia’s militia and witnesses significant military campaigns before resigning to focus on his estate and personal pursuits. The narrative also introduces Martha Dandridge Custis, setting the stage for his return to domestic life.
