Richard Horatio Edgar Wallace, known as the ‘King of Thrillers,’ was a prolific British author who began his writing career inspired by Rudyard Kipling and eventually produced an extraordinary body of work, including novels, short stories, and screenplays. His career skyrocketed after establishing his own publishing company, and he became a celebrated figure with a distinctive image associated with his brand. Despite his success, Wallace's life was marked by high spending and financial challenges, and his health declined due to diabetes, leading to his death in 1932.
