Angel with Two Faces

In May 1935, exhausted from the theater world, Josephine Tey retreats to Cornwall, seeking inspiration for her second mystery novel while staying at the Motleys' dilapidated estate. As the Motleys engage in an amateur production at the Minack Theater, Detective Inspector Archie Penrose returns to Cornwall for a funeral and begins to unravel the circumstances of a tragic riding accident. However, a shocking murder at the theater draws Tey and Penrose into a deeper investigation, revealing unsettling truths that hint at a darkness beyond mere death.
