On a cross-country road trip, Kelsey Whitaker, a casting assistant and expert in romantic comedies, sets out to find her own love story, guided by her love of rom-com tropes and the help of her best friend Zachery. As she exchanges her city life for small-town adventures along the back roads, she hopes to stumble into a perfect, all-American romance.
