Exigency

Nine scientists embark on a one-way mission to orbit an Earthlike planet, studying two distinct intelligent species—one beginning civilization and the other existing as a growing, predatory race. After eight years of observation, a disaster forces only two crew members to eject, and they find themselves stranded in a hostile, alien landscape far from safety.
