In 1901, John Glenarm inherits the mysterious Glenarm House in Indiana, where he must live for a year to fulfill his grandfather's will while studying its architectural library. As he settles into the house, he encounters ghostly phenomena, intriguing visitors, and potential secrets involving a young man from a nearby school and the estate’s enigmatic staff. His plans become more complicated with the unexpected return of his former lover, adding layers of mystery and intrigue to his year in the woods.
