A Little Woman

Franz Kafka, born in Prague on July 3, 1883, navigated a challenging upbringing marked by his authoritarian father and a prescribed educational path. Initially studying chemistry, Kafka pivoted to law, earning his degree in 1906 and working in various insurance roles, which he viewed as necessities to support his writing. Despite battling tuberculosis and other health issues throughout his life, he produced a significant body of work, including famous pieces like "The Trial" and "The Metamorphosis," which continue to influence literature profoundly. He passed away on June 3, 1924, at the age of 40.
