The Informant

Kaz Phelps, a former drug-fueled teenager, emerges from six years in prison determined to leave her violent Essex gangster family behind, driven by her unspoken love for her lawyer, Helen. Her younger brother, Joey, now a dangerous psychopath, tries to pull her back into the criminal underworld after committing murder, while detective DS Nicci Armstrong aims to bring him to justice, unaware that there are threats within her own ranks.
