The Earl's New Bride

Set in 1819 England, this story follows the earl of Amhurst, who seeks a wife with unattractive qualities to avoid heartbreak, and Lady Henrietta Beauchamp, a sweet and lovely woman more comfortable among her plants than society. Despite their differences, Henrietta’s desire to save her family’s estate leads her to a marriage with Simon Devere, a man who notwithstanding his disfigurement, becomes her unlikely partner. Their relationship explores the possibility of hope and connection amid social expectations and personal scars.
