Strangers Behind Closed Doors

A woman vanishes from Chicago’s luxurious Ivory Hotel, drawing suspicion and uncovering a complex web of secrets involving privilege and betrayal. Detective Redding Stark believes the case is connected to a series of similar disappearances of Black women, and she teams up with Giovanni Mason, the hotel’s first Black head concierge, who finds herself embroiled in the mystery after a tense reunion turns chaotic. Together, they navigate dangerous waters inside and outside the hotel in search of the missing woman, all while confronting unsettling truths.
