Like I Pretended

In "Like I Pretended," superstar Henry Lu seeks an escape from his action movie fame by filming a queer period drama on the picturesque Yorkshire coast. He meets Alex, a grumpy coffee shop owner who is less than thrilled about the intrusion of Hollywood into his life. As rumors about the production spark trouble with industry bigwigs and Henry's previous franchise, the duo must fake a relationship to save face, leading them to confront their feelings amidst a backdrop of humor and unexpected connections. This slow-burn contemporary MM romance is the fourth installment in the Heather Bay series, best enjoyed alongside the others.
