Weaponized Religion

The Latter Rain Movement of the late 1940s and 1950s significantly influenced Christianity worldwide, initially viewed as a divine movement but later splintering into various sects due to ideological conflicts. Some factions evolved into destructive and militant groups, exemplified by groups like Paul Schäfer Schneider's community in Chile, which engaged in illegal activities under the guise of Pentecostalism. The movement's roots trace back to William Branham's post-WWII healing revivals, leading to numerous splinter groups, some of which have veered into extremism and are collectively referred to as the New Apostolic Reformation.
