The Stone Carvers

In 1867, a Bavarian priest is sent to North America by divine inspiration and King Ludwig, transforming the wilderness into a vibrant community and shaping the lives of its settlers. The story follows Joseph Becker, a talented woodcarver, as he teaches his craft to his grandchildren, including the gifted Klara. Her deep passion for "men's work" leads her to fall in love with Eamon O'Sullivan, an Irish boy whose future is set against the backdrop of the Great War.
