The Barred Window

Set in 1993, the story follows Thomas Penmarsh, who has spent his life in the seaside house of Finisterre, haunted by a childhood loss. With the death of his controlling mother, Thomas gains control of the house, and his reunion with his childhood confidant, Esmond, brings new hope—though questions about Esmond’s true intentions and the mysterious absence of Alice, a woman from the past, linger beneath the surface.
