In "A Good Deliverance," set in Warwick during the summer of 1468, Sir Thomas Malory—politician, outlaw, and author of "Le Morte D'Arthur"—finds himself imprisoned in Newgate for reasons unknown. As he awaits his grim fate, he is visited by the gaoler's young son, prompting Malory to recount tales of his thrilling past filled with battles, sieges, and court intrigue. This engaging narrative unfolds as a prison confession, exploring the life events that shaped Malory and inspired his groundbreaking work in English literature.
