Infants of the Brush

Infants of the Brush is a historical fiction novel set in 1700s England, inspired by a real court case and featuring themes similar to Oliver Twist. It follows the story of six-year-old Egan Whitcombe, who is sold to a chimney sweep master and must navigate a harsh, demanding world to survive. As Egan and his fellow broomers face hardships and forge friendships, they strive to attain their independence amid difficult circumstances.
