Hearts Strange and Dreadful

Set in 1821 New England, this story follows orphan Hester Stokely, who possesses unusual abilities and struggles to find acceptance in the pious town of Wickstead. When a deadly plague strikes, Hester becomes essential as a healer, but she soon uncovers that something far more sinister is threatening the community. As paranoia and superstition grow, Hester must confront dark forces to save Wickstead and its inhabitants.
