Out-of-work actress Sloane Ford is drawn into producing her family's WWII-era film, which unexpectedly stars her least favorite former co-star, Joseph Donovan. As filming progresses, unexpected challenges arise, leading Sloane to step into the lead role herself and restore her love for acting. Amidst on-screen chemistry and off-screen tension, she begins to question what is genuine and what is simply part of the role.
