At a pulp writers' convention in San Francisco, private eye Nameless finds himself immersed in the world of vintage pulp fiction, holidaying amidst famous authors and collecting rare novels, while also navigating romantic interests. The event takes a dark turn when a guest is mysteriously found dead in a locked room, and the host, Russell Dancer, is accused of the crime, prompting Nameless to investigate the true perpetrator. As the case unfolds, he faces not only a classic locked room mystery but also the danger of becoming a murder target himself.
