Our Only May Amelia

Set in 1899 Washington, this story follows May Amelia Jackson, the only girl born in her frontier settlement, who longs for adventure and a bit of girlhood companionship amidst her brothers' boisterous antics. Defying expectations of proper ladyhood, she finds herself involved in fishing, herding, and even encounters with danger. With her mother expecting another child, May remains hopeful that her life may change, bringing new possibilities along the Nasel River.
