The Nine Pound Hammer

Twelve-year-old Ray, an orphan with mysterious memories of his father, joins a traveling medicine show after jumping from a train in the American South. He encounters a group of heroic performers, including the son of John Henry, who are protecting the last of the mythical Swamp Sirens from an ancient evil called the Gog. As the story unfolds, they face a perilous quest to prevent the Gog from reassembling a destructive machine tied to John Henry’s legendary struggle.
