In The Cult of Smart, Fredrik deBoer, a outspoken leftist educator, critiques the fundamental flaws in the current educational system, emphasizing the inescapable reality of differing cognitive abilities among individuals. He argues that recognizing these differences is essential for creating a more just society and advocates for a shift toward equality of outcomes rather than traditional measures of academic achievement. This passionate manifesto challenges long-held beliefs and calls for a reevaluation of our approach to education and human value.
