Evan Evans, a young police constable, leaves city violence behind to serve in the peaceful Welsh village of Llanfair, where he navigates eccentric neighbors and local rivalries. When two hikers are found murdered on nearby trails, Evans must investigate a brutal crime that threatens to disrupt his idyllic new home. The first in Rhys Bowen's popular Constable Evans Mystery Series, the story blends rural charm with a gripping murder investigation.
