Dust of Eden

Before the world was born, the Dust of Eden—an ancient, blood-red earth—held immense, mysterious power. When this last deposit was disturbed, it set off a chain of events linked to its guarded secret. The dust eventually comes into the possession of Ariel Leppa, an elderly woman who remains unaware of its dangerous potential for a time.
