In the sequel to At the Table of Wolves, Kim Tavistock, now officially working for the Secret Intelligence Service, is sent to investigate a series of murders linked to a Nazi plot, set against the backdrop of 1936 England. Dispatched to Sulcliffe Castle in Wales under cover as a journalist, she infiltrates a spiritualist cult while uncovering deeper secrets that threaten to escalate tensions ahead of war.
