Young peasant woman Kamala has seized powerful Magister sorcery, but now she is pursued by the Magisters for her actions. Her only chance of survival lies in the northern Protectorates, where a mysterious curse called the Wrath has warped spells and even the Magisters hesitate to confront its effects.
