Davis Way Cole leads a mostly quiet life at the Bellissimo Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, with her family, until chaos erupts with the arrival of Bootsy Howard demanding a million dollars. Things spiral further out of control as Davis finds herself hosting a dog for the annual Southern Canine Association’s dog show, while simultaneously dealing with an uninvited doctor who complicates her already tumultuous situation involving a mysterious dead body. With her orderly life unraveling, Davis must quickly adapt to the unexpected challenges to regain her calm.
