NaTasha leads a privileged life in an upscale neighborhood and is part of an all-white ballet troupe, but her grandmother, Tilly, from Harlem, believes she needs to reconnect with her roots. When Tilly takes NaTasha to Harlem and a Bronx crisis center, she encounters a world vastly different from her own, filled with streetwise girls and tough secrets. As NaTasha faces these new challenges, she begins to uncover surprising truths about herself and her identity.
