Roses Have Thorns

Set against the turbulent backdrop of Tudor England, this novel follows 17-year-old Elin von Snakenborg as she navigates marriage, loyalty, and treacherous court politics after fleeing Sweden for England in 1565. Transformed into Helena, Marchioness of Northampton, she rises to prominence within Queen Elizabeth I’s court, but must confront impossible choices amid plots and betrayal. With vivid storytelling, the book explores themes of allegiance and sacrifice during a volatile period leading up to the execution of Mary Queen of Scots.
