The Woman in the Wallpaper

During the turmoil of the French Revolution, three women's lives intertwine: Sofi, a wallpaper factory worker; her sister Lara, a lady’s maid; and young aristocrat Hortense. After moving from Marseilles to Paris for work at a factory known for its intricately illustrated wallpaper, the sisters become unnerved by the recurring image of a mysterious woman in the designs, who bears an unsettling resemblance to Lara. As strange events unfold, Lara is drawn into a web of paranoia that suggests her life may mirror the tragic fate of the woman depicted in the wallpaper.
