Twelve-year-old twins Mei and Yun Wu stand out in their village, but as the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, they share in the excitement of their grandfather’s mooncakes reaching the Emperor of China. Anticipating a visit from the emperor’s son, their hopes soar until disaster strikes on festival night, thrusting them into a perilous situation that jeopardizes their family and village.
