Under the Dragon's Tail

In Victorian Toronto, Dolly Merishaw, a midwife and abortionist, serves desperate women from all walks of life, but her greed and contempt for her clients breed resentment. When she is found murdered, Detective William Murdoch is thrust into a perplexing investigation, especially after a young boy is discovered dead in her neglected kitchen a week later.
