The Smoke Ring

Set in the zero-gravity environment of the Smoke Ring, this story explores a society that has forgotten its Earth origins and the powerful computer despot, Sharls Davis Kendy, until Kendy reestablishes contact. As the Citizens Tree Scientist, Jeffer becomes aware of a larger society called the Admiralty, which may hold crucial remnants of the past, leading to a compelling exploration of discovery and change in a floating world.
