Excise

In "The Death of the Doctor," medical examiner Dr. Annabelle Schwartzman returns to work at a murder scene shortly after undergoing chemotherapy and a double mastectomy. The victim, her own oncologist, has died under suspicious circumstances, prompting Schwartzman and homicide inspector Hal Harris to investigate the case. As they delve deeper, Schwartzman must confront her personal demons, including her abusive ex, while navigating the complexities of the crime that hits alarmingly close to home.
