In a small coastal town in Maine, artist Jill Moncreiff has embraced her solitary life following her husband's death. Her routine is disrupted when her best friend requires legal assistance, leading her to seek help from the high-profile lawyer Peter Hathaway, who embodies the big city life Jill left behind.
