Blueprints

In Barbara Delinsky's Blueprints, two women, Caroline MacAfee, a dedicated carpenter, and her daughter Jamie, an up-and-coming architect, find their lives intertwined within the pressures of a public television home renovation series called Gut It!. Caroline faces an identity crisis when her daughter is poised to take over hosting duties just after her fifty-sixth birthday, while Jamie is thrust into sudden motherhood after the tragic loss of her father and his new wife. Together, they navigate shifting loyalties, personal challenges, and the complexities of their relationship as they strive to redefine their lives and each other amidst unexpected changes.
