The Crisis

In a small northern Florida convenience store, Mattie grapples with her past as a marine biologist and her haunting guilt over her best friend Hank the Manatee's death. When she witnesses a nervous couple and a girl with a cryptic tattoo, Mattie suspects a kidnapping and takes matters into her own hands, determined to save the girl before it's too late. Meanwhile, a militant rebel in Cuba is on the hunt for the same woman, hoping to use her as leverage to assert power over the U.S. Tensions mount as their paths inevitably converge.
