The Face in the Cemetery

In Egypt, 1914, Gareth Owen, known as the Mamur Zapt and Head of Cairo’s Secret Police, is tasked with the difficult job of rounding up enemy aliens at the onset of war. As the complexities of national identity complicate his mission, determining who is truly German amidst various claims becomes increasingly contentious.
