Charlie Williamson, a rugged former athlete with a history of struggles, works at RRiotWear, a women's fitness clothing startup, where she's unexpectedly tasked with leading a beginner's marathon group. Meanwhile, Elizabeth McIntyre, a high-powered tech entrepreneur dealing with anxiety, recognizes the need for a life overhaul and also joins the marathon program.
