In a desolate future marked by fire and drought, two climate refugees venture into an old silver mine in search of water and uncover a diary belonging to Lavinia Cain, a settler from the late 1860s. As they delve deeper into the abandoned tunnels, they learn of the terrifying presence that lurks within, haunting whispers and ominous figures emerging from Lavinia’s writings. Trapped and injured, the women realize they are not alone in the darkness, facing a lurking threat that has remained for over a century. The monsters within the mine are awake—and they have a thirst that must be quenched.
