In "Deepfakes Can Be Murder," Artificial Intelligence expert known as the Chameleon wields her unsettling ability to create convincing deepfakes and manipulate those plagued by inner turmoil, driving them to commit violence. Security consultant Kylee Kane stumbles upon the suspicious death of community member Andy Fyke, who had been advocating against rentals in their Hilton Head Island neighborhood. As more mysterious deaths ensue, Kylee becomes determined to unravel the truth, setting her sights on the Chameleon, who now targets her as a new threat.
